When you first hold the Glock 19, it may look identical to the Glock 19, but the Glock 23 disintegrates the moment you pull the trigger. With 0.40-inch bullets, the diameter of each bullet is increased by 1 millimeter, and the casting effect is immediately noticeable.
Despite the increased sensitivity (more on that later), the gun is as accurate as any other Glock I've used.
The Glock 23 has plastic three-point sights (one on the front and two on the back). As a barebones gun, the default scope works well enough, but it's a good idea to get a scope if you plan to use the gun, especially in low light.
Glock is known for making reliable guns for life, and the Glock 23 is no exception. This gun will basically shoot anything you shoot with no complaints.

Some kind of error occurred when using the app. It seems to fit every other Glocks I've owned and used over the years, so I wouldn't be surprised.
One thing I'm concerned about is that the larger caliber Glock 19 might increase wear on the gun compared to the 9mm. But anyway, time will tell and so far Glock's pistols have stood the test of time.
As mentioned earlier, the Glock 23 is physically identical to the Glock 19, with exact dimensions and weight.
Like the Glock 19, the G23 is large enough to handle well with a comfortable 4-inch barrel. The sights are easy to line up and the pistol's simple, practical design makes it easy to hold and control.

The Glock 23 has a trigger safety system that requires a full stop to release the trigger. It does not include any passive safety devices that are part of the weapon's design for defense.

The damage done to the Glock 23 is what really sets it apart from the Glock 19 for me.
23 has a large muzzle as the steel slide moves backwards and then forwards into place. This made it difficult to quickly set the scope after shooting and took some getting used to.
I think the polymer framed steel slides have a few drawbacks and this is one of them. The lip hook worked well all day and I was surprised when I used a gun similar to the Glock 19.
But in a defensive situation, the extra storage capacity of .40 caliber ammunition shouldn't compensate for the Glock 23's slow rate of fire.

Price-wise, the Glock 23 is definitely a step up from the Glock 19 when it comes to guns and ammunition.
With an MSRP of $600, the Glock 23 is still affordable. Even with .40 caliber bullets, they cost at least twice as much as buying 9mm bullets. That said, it's not the fairest comparison since it's not as cheap as the 9mm and doesn't have as many bullets.
The reason the Glock 19 is so popular is because the Glock is famous for being affordable, easy to use and widely used.

Compared to the 19, the Glock 23 is more expensive and more difficult to use. However, these drawbacks are offset by increased stopping power, making this pistol an incredibly effective military pistol.
As a private owner, you will find the Glock 23 an excellent choice as a practical handgun for home defense or everyday carry. The reliability and ease of use of the Glock with higher caliber ammunition make it a great defensive tool.

I also have a 9mm conversion barrel so I can shoot a 40 s&w or 9mm, which is the perfect gun to carry or use as a scope toy. If you're considering a G19, I'd consider a G23 and a conversion barrel. This gun can be converted to fire 4 different calibers (it comes in 40 s&w and you can get either a 9mm or .357 conversion barrel and you can also get a .22lr conversion kit). Big guns everywhere! I recommend this gun.

I prefer the 3rd gen grip over the 4th gen. It feels more secure in the hand. The size of the 23 is portable but large enough to absorb damage and keep you looking longer. I also like the idea of a .357 Sig conversion barrel. Glock is hard to beat in my opinion.
To be honest, I wear gloves and hand them out. It was a heavy, bulky weapon that didn't fit in my hand at all. Recently my wife wanted us to go to the store and when she saw the saleswoman hand me a gen 4 she felt like her glove. After doing some research, I found out that they modeled the gen 4 after the 1911 which I like the 1911 but I also like the way you can personalize the Glock. So the 23 gen 4 is the last gun I'll buy until it's gone.
The first Glock I owned was the first pistol I ever owned. It's fast, smooth and reliable. I've owned several semi cars from different manufacturers and this is the best I've driven. I go for accuracy with a spring kit and barrel and get a consistent 5-inch ball from 9-12 yards even out of the box. Thank you.
I bought a Gen 3 a few years ago. I still love guns. I want to buy a Gen 4 someday, but I haven't felt the need to do that yet. When I was in law enforcement, I loved going out. It's not too big and has a decent girth. Recommended for those who want to hide away.
