Ssk .950 Rifle - JD Jones' .950 JDJ cartridge is generally described as the largest sporting rifle cartridge ever produced and produces more energy than any 4-bore cartridge of its bore diameter. Only three of these guns were made, and the original charge was a 2,600-grain (168 g) cast bullet with a velocity of 2,200 fps (670 m/s) and a muzzle energy of 28,000 ft-lbs (38 kJ). There are more manufactured anti-tank guns, but in the field of sports, they cannot be compared in terms of power and bore diameter.

Dubbed the Fat Mac, the gun was built on a McMillan stock and action and was custom built for customers who wanted a really (really) big gun that could use cast bullets. Cartridge cases were originally made 70mm long from 20mm Vulcan cases (only), and when brass Vulcan cases became too expensive, they were replaced by conventional lathes. The gun itself weighs less than 60 pounds, nearly a third of that weight with the muzzle brake alone. This example was sold with all bullet components, which is a good thing since Jones/SSK stopped making bullets a few years ago...
