The sub-compact concealed carry pistol is loaded with 5 factory cartridges with projectile weights ranging from 107 to 147, three of which are pure defensive cartridges. One of them is the very young GECO 107-grain Action Extreme lead-free hollowpoint bullet, a very interesting load.
Although ranking based on available groups is not the most important criterion here, we want to start with it. The best result at 15 meters was with Speer Gold 147 grains at 2.12 inches / 54 mm from two average 5-shot groups. This is followed by S & B's 124 grains FMJ with a 250 mass pack, 2.48 inches / 63 mm. The GECO cartridge achieved a 124-core fully copper-plated lead bullet of 2.48 inches / 63 mm. The average for all loads was 2.59 inches / 66 mm.
A very interesting 124-grain Speer Gold Dot was a top performer. The bullet of the 87 mm barrel is 362 m / s, which is an impressive 526 joules. Thus, it fulfills the fate of many sub-compact pistols with a short and narrow grip. The recovery feels more uncomfortable because it is absorbed by the small surface in the hand. It is a good idea to do a few test shots before buying, as a subcompact pistol needs to be regularly trained to master the gun in a somnambulistic manner and to make clean shots even under stress. If the recoil is too heavy or the grip too small, it is best to move on to the next larger version, although the appeal of these very comfortable pistols is everywhere.
With the P-10 Micro, the Czech manufacturer Ceská Zbrojovka (CZ) significantly expands this series of polymer-framed assault rifles, which now includes three models. Like the CZ P-10 F and C, as well as many other pistols of this brand, the new micro pistol can surprise with its good price/performance ratio. The impressive design features of the P-10 M should not be afraid of comparisons with its competitors. The price is 576 euros - a bit cheaper than the GLOCK G43, but the price difference with the Walther PPS on the other hand - about 200 euros - is already clear, to follow just two examples. That and the performance offered make the CZ pistol a good buy. New designs of pocket-sized pistols have increased magazine capacity, while guns are made small enough to be hidden: ten rounds is usually the maximum capacity for the Micro 9. Many of them offer excellent ergonomics in addition to their small footprint and sufficient storage space.
